Outkast – So Fresh, So Clean

Avec plus de vingt millions d’albums écoulés dans le monde, Outkast est le groupe de rap le plus vendeur de tous les temps. Outkast c’est aussi l’histoire d’amitié d’Antwan Patton (aka Big Boi) et d’Andre Benjamin (aka Andre 3000 ou Dre). Avec leur influences funk, soul, rock, jazz ils ont révolutionné le hip hop en imposant le Sud des Etats-Unis (après les Arrested Development et les Geto Boys) sur la carte du rap. Big Boi est d’ailleurs l’inventeur du terme Dirty South .

Les deux MC se sont rencontrés alors qu’ils habitaient le même quartier de la banlieue d’Atlanta. Ils ont à plusieurs reprises l’occasion de s’affronter au cours de battles, ce qui fera naître entre eux un grand respect mutuel. Ils décident de s’associer et de former le groupe Outkast alors qu‘ils sont encore au lyçée. En 1992, ils forment avec Organized Noize et Goodie Mob la Dungeon Family, en référence à la cave (baptisée le Donjon) qu’ils avaient transformée en studio. Organized Noize (composé de Rico Wade, Ray Murray et Sleepy Brown) deviendra plus tard producteur des TLC et permettra à Outkast de signer dès l’age de 17 ans sur le label La Face Records, jusque là spécialisé dans le R&B.

En 1992, le groupe fait son premier featuring. Il s’agit de Aint 2 Proud 2 Beg (Remix) des TLC. Outkast sortira son premier single Player’s Ball , d’ambiance funky l’année suivante. Ce titre sera classé six semaines d’affilée premier au Billboard. En 1994 sortira le premier album Southernplayalistcadillacmusik. Avec ce titre ils revendiquent fièrement leurs origines sudistes et leur musique pour Cadillac. Le second extrait de cet album sera Git Up, Git Out en featuring avec Goodie Mob. Ils font déjà contraste avec le gangsta rap de l’époque car ce titre décrie le statut des Afro-Américains dans le Sud du pays. Le groupe gagnera en 1995 un Source Award de la meilleure révélation de l’année.

Le deuximème album d’Andre 3000 et Big Boi, ATLiens sortira en 1996. Ils y font leur début à la production (le premier ayant été entièrement produit par Organized noize) et sont à l’origine du premier single Elevators (Me & You) . L’album sera numéro 2 au classement du Billboard et permettra au groupe d’être reconnu par les fans de hip hop des côtes Est et Ouest. A cette époque, des rumeurs commmencent circuler à propos d’une prétendue dissolution du groupe. En effet, peu de gens comprennent comment Big Boi, ancien dealer, grand fumeur et amateur de peep-show peut s’entendre avec Andre, qui prône le no drugs no alcohol et arbore un style de plus en plus excentrique qui le fait passer pour un homosexuel.

Aquemini, le troisième album viendra démentir cette rumeur en 1998. Le nom de cet album est une combinaison des deux signes astrologiques des rappeurs : aquarius (verseau) et gemini (gémeaux) qui montrent qu’étant différents, ils s’accordent complètement. Cet album très novateur recevra la note exceptionnelle de 5 mic décernée par le magazine The Source. Le premier single intitulé Rosa Parks fait homage à la militante des droits civils des Africains Américains et sera un gros succès. Malheureusement celle-ci les poursuivra pour s’être approprié son nom et y avoir accolé des lyrics obsènes selon elle. La plainte de Rosa Parks sera finalement déboutée en avril 2005.

En 2000 sort Stankonia, le quatrième album, nommé d‘après le studio de Bobby Brown où ils avaient enregistré pour le première fois « Player Ball » et qu‘ils ont racheté peu de temps plutôt. Placé directement numéro deux au Billboard, cet album s’exportera beaucoup plus que les autres et sera quatre fois platine. Les extraits seront l’uptempo B.O.B. (Bomb Over Bagdad) et Ms. Jackson . Dans le deuxième, Dre s’adresse à la mère d’Erikah Badu de qui il s’est récement séparé après la naissance de leur fils Seven. Le troisième single est So fresh, so clean produit par Organized Noize. En 2001, Ms. Jackson et Stankonia remporteront un Grammy Award chacun. En même temps le duo crée le label Aquemini Records. Slimm Calhoun, Konkrete, TCP et Killer Mike sortiront leurs albums sur ce label. Le succès de Stankonia a draîné de nouveaux fans à Outkast. Pour montrer qu’ils n’étaient pas un nouveau groupe, ils ont sorti fin 2001 un best of intitulé Big Boi and Dre present….Outkast qui contient quelques inédits dont The Whole World featuring Killer Mike. Quelques mois plus tôt était paru l’album de la Dungeon Family, Even in Darkness.

En septembre 2003, Outkast sort son premier double album Speakerboxxx – The Love Below. Il s’agit en fait des deux albums solo des deux membres. Speakerboxxx dans le style dirty south pour Big Boi le player et The Love Below inspiré du funk et de la musique pop pour Andre 3000 le romantique. Les deux premiers singles qui sortiront quasiment en même temps seront The Way You Move de Big Boi et Hey Ya de Andre 3000. Ces deux extraits furent d’immenses succès et les deux clips largement diffusés sur les chaînes musicales. Ceci a contribué à ce que l’album atteigne les cinq millions de ventes, ce qui équivaut au statut d’album de diamant pour un double album. C’est seulement le troisième album de rap à obtenir cette certification après Please Hammer Don’t Hurt ‘Em de MC Hammer et Life After Death de Notorious BIG.

Andre3000 part ensuite dans un tout autre délire et délaisse leur label Aquemini. First let me say, this is intended to only be a very basic general knowledge and certainly is not all inclusive and does not apply to every tribal tradition and way of practicing the sweat lodge ceremony. When attending a ceremony with a particular ceremonial leader of a particular tribe or group, you should consult someone who knows that leader and ceremony for information on what is expected of those attending.. Sweat Lodge is a ceremony that has been used by many Native American Tribes and other indigenous people for centuries. Contrary to some people’s beliefs, the sweat lodge is not just a sauna. It is a very sacred ceremony of spiritual and physical purification. The main focus is prayer. The sweat lodge is also used for many specific purposes. There are doctoring lodges, lodges to prepare people for other ceremonies and many other purposes. The sweat lodge most people are familiar with is commonly called prayer and purification sweat.. The first thing that is important to know is that every stage of the sweat lodge is part of the ceremony. The ceremony actually begins when it is determined that the ceremony will take place. Building the sacred fire, covering the lodge, and creating the altar are all part of the ceremony. Be respectful in behavior and speech during all stages of the ceremony.. Don’t attend a sweat lodge if you are under the influence of any substance. The repercussions of this are too many, too varied and sometimes too severe to discuss here. You should simply do not do it. A general rule of thumb for substance users is; have at least 4 days clean/sober and have deep sincere intention of staying clean/sober prior to attending.. I know of no traditional leader that will evercharge for a ceremony, however, many appreciate a gift of money while others feel that is too closely related to charging for the ceremony.. I remember days when I used to cry in my school-classes thinking about my cursed days, while friends who belong to my age would merrily roam around. I saw nothing but darkness in front of me.. It was the time when I came to know about Jesus and His love. My grandmother has been a believer, who got saved by Jesus, from a suicide decades back. She taught me the story of the life of Jesus and the gospel. In the midst of all my pain and suffering, though I understood very little of the real meaning of the gospel, I held it close to my heart. During the darkest nights and the most disturbing emotional storms, the hope in a living God helped me to move forward. Years passed by and I reached my mid-teens. My family circumstances started to improve slowly…. Crazy Youth . I started to think a lot during these days… About the meaning of life… my existence… and so on. I trusted in my logic and rational thinking above anything and it was the starting point when I ignored my God who carried me in His arms, through all my tough times. Avec plus de vingt millions d’albums écoulés dans le monde, Outkast est le groupe de rap le plus vendeur de tous les temps. Outkast c’est aussi l’histoire d’amitié d’Antwan Patton (aka Big Boi) et d’Andre Benjamin (aka Andre 3000 ou Dre). Avec leur influences funk, soul, rock, jazz ils ont révolutionné le hip hop en imposant le Sud des Etats-Unis (après les Arrested Development et les Geto Boys) sur la carte du rap. Big Boi est d’ailleurs l’inventeur du terme Dirty South .

Les deux MC se sont rencontrés alors qu’ils habitaient le même quartier de la banlieue d’Atlanta. Ils ont à plusieurs reprises l’occasion de s’affronter au cours de battles, ce qui fera naître entre eux un grand respect mutuel. Ils décident de s’associer et de former le groupe Outkast alors qu‘ils sont encore au lyçée. En 1992, ils forment avec Organized Noize et Goodie Mob la Dungeon Family, en référence à la cave (baptisée le Donjon) qu’ils avaient transformée en studio. Organized Noize (composé de Rico Wade, Ray Murray et Sleepy Brown) deviendra plus tard producteur des TLC et permettra à Outkast de signer dès l’age de 17 ans sur le label La Face Records, jusque là spécialisé dans le R&B.

I use my abilities to inform my clients of the most likely outcome of a particular event if they continue on with their lives in the same manner that they are currently living them. But unfortunately, free will, choices, and changes will alter outcomes of many events regardless of their resolution and their “rightness” at the time.. Are some things fated to happen that won’t or can’t be changed? Yes. But even we Psychics don’t know which things they are. If we did you wouldn’t try to make your own choices, and I believe that is often why we are sometimes right about nearly everything, and other times, not so much so.. So in truth, accuracy lies in the eyes of the beholder most often. Even really great psychics should be used only as a guidepost; not the authority on your life. And I believe all psychics would find their accuracy soaring and their burden of being right lifted if only they could learn to relax and use the gift in the way it is given…not in the way they want it to be.. For me, being a psychic is a large part of who I am and something I couldn’t change even if I wanted to. Yet in sharing my ability with people for a fee, it also becomes a part of my job. And I’ve had to learn that no one I’ve ever met does their job with 100% accuracy…nor should we humans be expected to; because on top of everything else, we psychics are still people.. Outkast – So Fresh, So Clean

Avec plus de vingt millions d’albums écoulés dans le monde, Outkast est le groupe de rap le plus vendeur de tous les temps. Outkast c’est aussi l’histoire d’amitié d’Antwan Patton (aka Big Boi) et d’Andre Benjamin (aka Andre 3000 ou Dre). Avec leur influences funk, soul, rock, jazz ils ont révolutionné le hip hop en imposant le Sud des Etats-Unis (après les Arrested Development et les Geto Boys) sur la carte du rap. Big Boi est d’ailleurs l’inventeur du terme Dirty South .

Les deux MC se sont rencontrés alors qu’ils habitaient le même quartier de la banlieue d’Atlanta. Ils ont à plusieurs reprises l’occasion de s’affronter au cours de battles, ce qui fera naître entre eux un grand respect mutuel. Ils décident de s’associer et de former le groupe Outkast alors qu‘ils sont encore au lyçée. En 1992, ils forment avec Organized Noize et Goodie Mob la Dungeon Family, en référence à la cave (baptisée le Donjon) qu’ils avaient transformée en studio. Organized Noize (composé de Rico Wade, Ray Murray et Sleepy Brown) deviendra plus tard producteur des TLC et permettra à Outkast de signer dès l’age de 17 ans sur le label La Face Records, jusque là spécialisé dans le R&B.

En 1992, le groupe fait son premier featuring. Il s’agit de Aint 2 Proud 2 Beg (Remix) des TLC. Outkast sortira son premier single Player’s Ball , d’ambiance funky l’année suivante. Ce titre sera classé six semaines d’affilée premier au Billboard. En 1994 sortira le premier album Southernplayalistcadillacmusik. Avec ce titre ils revendiquent fièrement leurs origines sudistes et leur musique pour Cadillac. Le second extrait de cet album sera Git Up, Git Out en featuring avec Goodie Mob. Ils font déjà contraste avec le gangsta rap de l’époque car ce titre décrie le statut des Afro-Américains dans le Sud du pays. Le groupe gagnera en 1995 un Source Award de la meilleure révélation de l’année.

Le deuximème album d’Andre 3000 et Big Boi, ATLiens sortira en 1996. Ils y font leur début à la production (le premier ayant été entièrement produit par Organized noize) et sont à l’origine du premier single Elevators (Me & You) . L’album sera numéro 2 au classement du Billboard et permettra au groupe d’être reconnu par les fans de hip hop des côtes Est et Ouest. A cette époque, des rumeurs commmencent circuler à propos d’une prétendue dissolution du groupe. En effet, peu de gens comprennent comment Big Boi, ancien dealer, grand fumeur et amateur de peep-show peut s’entendre avec Andre, qui prône le no drugs no alcohol et arbore un style de plus en plus excentrique qui le fait passer pour un homosexuel.

Aquemini, le troisième album viendra démentir cette rumeur en 1998. Le nom de cet album est une combinaison des deux signes astrologiques des rappeurs : aquarius (verseau) et gemini (gémeaux) qui montrent qu’étant différents, ils s’accordent complètement. Cet album très novateur recevra la note exceptionnelle de 5 mic décernée par le magazine The Source. Le premier single intitulé Rosa Parks fait homage à la militante des droits civils des Africains Américains et sera un gros succès. Malheureusement celle-ci les poursuivra pour s’être approprié son nom et y avoir accolé des lyrics obsènes selon elle. La plainte de Rosa Parks sera finalement déboutée en avril 2005.

Les deux premiers singles qui sortiront quasiment en même temps seront The Way You Move de Big Boi et Hey Ya de Andre 3000. Avec plus de vingt millions d’albums écoulés dans le monde, Outkast est le groupe de rap le plus vendeur de tous les temps. Outkast c’est aussi l’histoire d’amitié d’Antwan Patton (aka Big Boi) et d’Andre Benjamin (aka Andre 3000 ou Dre). Avec leur influences funk, soul, rock, jazz ils ont révolutionné le hip hop en imposant le Sud des Etats-Unis (après les Arrested Development et les Geto Boys) sur la carte du rap. Big Boi est d’ailleurs l’inventeur du terme Dirty South .

Les deux MC se sont rencontrés alors qu’ils habitaient le même quartier de la banlieue d’Atlanta. Ils ont à plusieurs reprises l’occasion de s’affronter au cours de battles, ce qui fera naître entre eux un grand respect mutuel. Ils décident de s’associer et de former le groupe Outkast alors qu‘ils sont encore au lyçée. En 1992, ils forment avec Organized Noize et Goodie Mob la Dungeon Family, en référence à la cave (baptisée le Donjon) qu’ils avaient transformée en studio. Organized Noize (composé de Rico Wade, Ray Murray et Sleepy Brown) deviendra plus tard producteur des TLC et permettra à Outkast de signer dès l’age de 17 ans sur le label La Face Records, jusque là spécialisé dans le R&B.

En 1992, le groupe fait son premier featuring. Il s’agit de Aint 2 Proud 2 Beg (Remix) des TLC. Outkast sortira son premier single Player’s Ball , d’ambiance funky l’année suivante. Ce titre sera classé six semaines d’affilée premier au Billboard. En 1994 sortira le premier album Southernplayalistcadillacmusik. Avec ce titre ils revendiquent fièrement leurs origines sudistes et leur musique pour Cadillac. Le second extrait de cet album sera Git Up, Git Out en featuring avec Goodie Mob. Ils font déjà contraste avec le gangsta rap de l’époque car ce titre décrie le statut des Afro-Américains dans le Sud du pays. Le groupe gagnera en 1995 un Source Award de la meilleure révélation de l’année.

Le deuximème album d’Andre 3000 et Big Boi, ATLiens sortira en 1996. Ils y font leur début à la production (le premier ayant été entièrement produit par Organized noize) et sont à l’origine du premier single Elevators (Me & You) . L’album sera numéro 2 au classement du Billboard et permettra au groupe d’être reconnu par les fans de hip hop des côtes Est et Ouest. A cette époque, des rumeurs commmencent circuler à propos d’une prétendue dissolution du groupe. En effet, peu de gens comprennent comment Big Boi, ancien dealer, grand fumeur et amateur de peep-show peut s’entendre avec Andre, qui prône le no drugs no alcohol et arbore un style de plus en plus excentrique qui le fait passer pour un homosexuel.

Aquemini, le troisième album viendra démentir cette rumeur en 1998. Le nom de cet album est une combinaison des deux signes astrologiques des rappeurs : aquarius (verseau) et gemini (gémeaux) qui montrent qu’étant différents, ils s’accordent complètement. Cet album très novateur recevra la note exceptionnelle de 5 mic décernée par le magazine The Source. Le premier single intitulé Rosa Parks fait homage à la militante des droits civils des Africains Américains et sera un gros succès. Outkast – So Fresh, So Clean

Avec plus de vingt millions d’albums écoulés dans le monde, Outkast est le groupe de rap le plus vendeur de tous les temps. Outkast c’est aussi l’histoire d’amitié d’Antwan Patton (aka Big Boi) et d’Andre Benjamin (aka Andre 3000 ou Dre). Avec leur influences funk, soul, rock, jazz ils ont révolutionné le hip hop en imposant le Sud des Etats-Unis (après les Arrested Development et les Geto Boys) sur la carte du rap. Big Boi est d’ailleurs l’inventeur du terme Dirty South .

Les deux MC se sont rencontrés alors qu’ils habitaient le même quartier de la banlieue d’Atlanta. Ils ont à plusieurs reprises l’occasion de s’affronter au cours de battles, ce qui fera naître entre eux un grand respect mutuel. Ils décident de s’associer et de former le groupe Outkast alors qu‘ils sont encore au lyçée. En 1992, ils forment avec Organized Noize et Goodie Mob la Dungeon Family, en référence à la cave (baptisée le Donjon) qu’ils avaient transformée en studio. Organized Noize (composé de Rico Wade, Ray Murray et Sleepy Brown) deviendra plus tard producteur des TLC et permettra à Outkast de signer dès l’age de 17 ans sur le label La Face Records, jusque là spécialisé dans le R&B.

En 1992, le groupe fait son premier featuring. Il s’agit de Aint 2 Proud 2 Beg (Remix) des TLC. Outkast sortira son premier single Player’s Ball , d’ambiance funky l’année suivante. Ce titre sera classé six semaines d’affilée premier au Billboard. En 1994 sortira le premier album Southernplayalistcadillacmusik. Avec ce titre ils revendiquent fièrement leurs origines sudistes et leur musique pour Cadillac. Le second extrait de cet album sera Git Up, Git Out en featuring avec Goodie Mob. Ils font déjà contraste avec le gangsta rap de l’époque car ce titre décrie le statut des Afro-Américains dans le Sud du pays. Le groupe gagnera en 1995 un Source Award de la meilleure révélation de l’année.

Le deuximème album d’Andre 3000 et Big Boi, ATLiens sortira en 1996. Ils y font leur début à la production (le premier ayant été entièrement produit par Organized noize) et sont à l’origine du premier single Elevators (Me & You) . L’album sera numéro 2 au classement du Billboard et permettra au groupe d’être reconnu par les fans de hip hop des côtes Est et Ouest. A cette époque, des rumeurs commmencent circuler à propos d’une prétendue dissolution du groupe. En effet, peu de gens comprennent comment Big Boi, ancien dealer, grand fumeur et amateur de peep-show peut s’entendre avec Andre, qui prône le no drugs no alcohol et arbore un style de plus en plus excentrique qui le fait passer pour un homosexuel.

Aquemini, le troisième album viendra démentir cette rumeur en 1998. Le nom de cet album est une combinaison des deux signes astrologiques des rappeurs : aquarius (verseau) et gemini (gémeaux) qui montrent qu’étant différents, ils s’accordent complètement. Placé directement numéro deux au Billboard, cet album s’exportera beaucoup plus que les autres et sera quatre fois platine. Les extraits seront l’uptempo B.O.B. (Bomb Over Bagdad) et Ms. Jackson . Dans le deuxième, Dre s’adresse à la mère d’Erikah Badu de qui il s’est récement séparé après la naissance de leur fils Seven. Le troisième single est So fresh, so clean produit par Organized Noize. En 2001, Ms. Jackson et Stankonia remporteront un Grammy Award chacun. En même temps le duo crée le label Aquemini Records. Slimm Calhoun, Konkrete, TCP et Killer Mike sortiront leurs albums sur ce label. Le succès de Stankonia a draîné de nouveaux fans à Outkast. Pour montrer qu’ils n’étaient pas un nouveau groupe, ils ont sorti fin 2001 un best of intitulé Big Boi and Dre present….Outkast qui contient quelques inédits dont The Whole World featuring Killer Mike. Quelques mois plus tôt était paru l’album de la Dungeon Family, Even in Darkness.

En septembre 2003, Outkast sort son premier double album Speakerboxxx – The Love Below. Il s’agit en fait des deux albums solo des deux membres. Speakerboxxx dans le style dirty south pour Big Boi le player et The Love Below inspiré du funk et de la musique pop pour Andre 3000 le romantique. Les deux premiers singles qui sortiront quasiment en même temps seront The Way You Move de Big Boi et Hey Ya de Andre 3000. Outkast – So Fresh, So Clean

Avec plus de vingt millions d’albums écoulés dans le monde, Outkast est le groupe de rap le plus vendeur de tous les temps. Outkast c’est aussi l’histoire d’amitié d’Antwan Patton (aka Big Boi) et d’Andre Benjamin (aka Andre 3000 ou Dre). Avec leur influences funk, soul, rock, jazz ils ont révolutionné le hip hop en imposant le Sud des Etats-Unis (après les Arrested Development et les Geto Boys) sur la carte du rap. Big Boi est d’ailleurs l’inventeur du terme Dirty South .

Les deux MC se sont rencontrés alors qu’ils habitaient le même quartier de la banlieue d’Atlanta. Ils ont à plusieurs reprises l’occasion de s’affronter au cours de battles, ce qui fera naître entre eux un grand respect mutuel. Ils décident de s’associer et de former le groupe Outkast alors qu‘ils sont encore au lyçée. En 1992, ils forment avec Organized Noize et Goodie Mob la Dungeon Family, en référence à la cave (baptisée le Donjon) qu’ils avaient transformée en studio. Organized Noize (composé de Rico Wade, Ray Murray et Sleepy Brown) deviendra plus tard producteur des TLC et permettra à Outkast de signer dès l’age de 17 ans sur le label La Face Records, jusque là spécialisé dans le R&B.

En 1992, le groupe fait son premier featuring. Il s’agit de Aint 2 Proud 2 Beg (Remix) des TLC. Outkast sortira son premier single Player’s Ball , d’ambiance funky l’année suivante. Ce titre sera classé six semaines d’affilée premier au Billboard. En 1994 sortira le premier album Southernplayalistcadillacmusik. Avec ce titre ils revendiquent fièrement leurs origines sudistes et leur musique pour Cadillac. Le second extrait de cet album sera Git Up, Git Out en featuring avec Goodie Mob. Ils font déjà contraste avec le gangsta rap de l’époque car ce titre décrie le statut des Afro-Américains dans le Sud du pays. Le groupe gagnera en 1995 un Source Award de la meilleure révélation de l’année.

Le deuximème album d’Andre 3000 et Big Boi, ATLiens sortira en 1996. Ils y font leur début à la production (le premier ayant été entièrement produit par Organized noize) et sont à l’origine du premier single Elevators (Me & You) . L’album sera numéro 2 au classement du Billboard et permettra au groupe d’être reconnu par les fans de hip hop des côtes Est et Ouest. A cette époque, des rumeurs commmencent circuler à propos d’une prétendue dissolution du groupe. En effet, peu de gens comprennent comment Big Boi, ancien dealer, grand fumeur et amateur de peep-show peut s’entendre avec Andre, qui prône le no drugs no alcohol et arbore un style de plus en plus excentrique qui le fait passer pour un homosexuel.

Aquemini, le troisième album viendra démentir cette rumeur en 1998. Le nom de cet album est une combinaison des deux signes astrologiques des rappeurs : aquarius (verseau) et gemini (gémeaux) qui montrent qu’étant différents, ils s’accordent complètement. Cet album très novateur recevra la note exceptionnelle de 5 mic décernée par le magazine The Source. En 2000 sort Stankonia, le quatrième album, nommé d‘après le studio de Bobby Brown où ils avaient enregistré pour le première fois « Player Ball » et qu‘ils ont racheté peu de temps plutôt. Placé directement numéro deux au Billboard, cet album s’exportera beaucoup plus que les autres et sera quatre fois platine. Les extraits seront l’uptempo B.O.B. (Bomb Over Bagdad) et Ms. Jackson . Dans le deuxième, Dre s’adresse à la mère d’Erikah Badu de qui il s’est récement séparé après la naissance de leur fils Seven. Le troisième single est So fresh, so clean produit par Organized Noize. En 2001, Ms. Jackson et Stankonia remporteront un Grammy Award chacun. En même temps le duo crée le label Aquemini Records. Slimm Calhoun, Konkrete, TCP et Killer Mike sortiront leurs albums sur ce label. Le succès de Stankonia a draîné de nouveaux fans à Outkast. Pour montrer qu’ils n’étaient pas un nouveau groupe, ils ont sorti fin 2001 un best of intitulé Big Boi and Dre present….Outkast qui contient quelques inédits dont The Whole World featuring Killer Mike. Quelques mois plus tôt était paru l’album de la Dungeon Family, Even in Darkness.

En septembre 2003, Outkast sort son premier double album Speakerboxxx – The Love Below. Il s’agit en fait des deux albums solo des deux membres. Speakerboxxx dans le style dirty south pour Big Boi le player et The Love Below inspiré du funk et de la musique pop pour Andre 3000 le romantique. Les deux premiers singles qui sortiront quasiment en même temps seront The Way You Move de Big Boi et Hey Ya de Andre 3000. Ces deux extraits furent d’immenses succès et les deux clips largement diffusés sur les chaînes musicales. Ceci a contribué à ce que l’album atteigne les cinq millions de ventes, ce qui équivaut au statut d’album de diamant pour un double album. C’est seulement le troisième album de rap à obtenir cette certification après Please Hammer Don’t Hurt ‘Em de MC Hammer et Life After Death de Notorious BIG.

Andre3000 part ensuite dans un tout autre délire et délaisse leur label Aquemini. Big Boi reprend les choses en main et fonda fin 2004 Purple Ribbon Label, sur lequel sont signés Bubba Sparxxx, Sleepy Brown, Konkrete et Killer Mike. Le sixième album album du duo est prévu pour 2006 et s’intitulera 10 The Hard Way.
